Costing and quoting for product businesses

Cost it right. Quote it fast.

costcomposer works out the true cost of every quote from today's supplier prices, builds products from assemblies as simple or as deep as you need, and shows your margin on every line before the proposal goes out in your own Word template.

  • Costs from live supplier prices, in any currency
  • Assemblies with questions, fixed parts lists and sub-assemblies
  • Cost, sell and margin on every line and every quote
Costing

Know your numbers on every line

Every quote is costed from what you'll actually pay, so the price you send is one you can stand behind.

  • Live supplier costs. Import supplier price lists with the dates they start. Quotes always use the price in force today, and you can bring older quotes up to date in one step.
  • Any buying currency. Supplier costs in euros or dollars are converted at your own buying rates, with the original price kept on the line.
  • Margin you can see. Cost, sell and margin, in money and as a percentage, for each line, each section and the whole quote, with materials shown separately from labour.
  • Price to win. Apply discounts or uplifts per line or across the quote, match a customer's budget, and add carriage automatically, watching the margin change as you go.
  • Quote in their currency. Each quote has its own currency at a locked exchange rate, so the numbers don't move after you've sent it.

Assemblies

Assemblies that fit the way you sell

Model your products once, however they're put together, and every quote picks up the right parts, labour and quantities.

Configured

Answer questions, get the parts

Build a set of questions for a product. Each answer adds its own parts, labour and quantities, and can lead on to further questions.

Standard

A fixed parts list

For products that are always the same: list the components and quantities once, and they're all added with the product.

Nested

Assemblies inside assemblies

Any component can be an assembly itself, as many levels deep as you need, with the structure kept on the quote.
